He came to this decision with showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll before Season 6 production began.
Thanks to Nkechi and the writers, I got my wish.
Season 6 is Spencers goodbye.
Ill miss our cast and crew.
I hope its been as fun to watch him as it has been to play him.
This surprising news comes after Monday’s pivotal episode, “Victory Lap.”
In the episode, fans see Daniel’s character, Spencer James, get drafted to the NFL.
Way to go out with a bang!
