“I finally feel like I can breathe.
I don’t think I can explain how profound that is.”
Sophia Bushis no stranger to having her love life bea hot topic on the internet.

“In April of 2022, I was close to calling off my wedding.
Instead of running away, I doubled down on being a model wife.
In 2023, my now ex-husband posted a lovely tribute to our first anniversary on Instagram.

When I saw it, I felt the blood drain from my face,” Sophia began.
She continued, saying how she was consistently telling herself, “Relationships are hard.
One of whom was former US soccer player Ashlyn Harris.

Sophia tells Glamour, “I didnt expect to find love in this support system.
There were blatant lies.
There were accusations of being a home-wrecker.”

And now I get to love her.
How lucky am I?”
“I think I’ve always known that my sexuality exists on a spectrum.

Right now, I think the word that best defines it is queer.
I can’t say it without smiling, actually.
And that feels pretty great.”

She wrote, “I am so lucky to be here, now.
I have real joy.
It took me 41 years to get here.”

‘I feel like this is my first birthday,’ I told her.
This year was my very first birthday."
