But thankfully the folks at the LEGO store stood by me as I paced.

Admittedly, I had a few hours to kill when I got home.

And I’m sorry but I WAS ITCHING TO GET STARTED!

Listen, there were a mammoth-sized bag of LEGO sets in my house, I’m only human.

FromThe Botanical CollectionI ended up going with drumroll kindly, theLEGOPlumBlossom.

And it turned out to be the perfect warm-up set!

We started with theLEGO Insect Collectionfirst so we could each work on a bug.

Before we knew it, our week of LEGO came to a close.
