Who knew a discussion about temperatures could get so heated?

Ahhh, the weather.

Who knew a discussion about temperatures could get so heated? (No pun intended!)

Because today, talking about the temperature is FAR FROM BORING.

It’s actually very, very, very important, and also hilarious at the same time.

So I’d pay attention if I were you.

The tweet has over 1.6K replies, so you KNOW people have their opinions.

We MUST settle the Fahrenheit vs. Celsius debate, once and for all.

We need this argument to be the last one anyone ever has about this topic.

Dwight Schrute from "The Office" prepares for action with a determined expression, saying "LET'S DO THIS!" while making clapping gestures

But before I show you how the internet feels, let’s just go over the basics.

Welcome back to grade 3.

Fahrenheit starts at 0, and has a 32F melting point and 212 boiling point.

A hand adjusts a digital thermostat set to 78 degrees for cooling

Celsius has a 0C melting point and 100C boiling point.

That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better, but it’s noteworthy for sure.

There are reasons for both Fahrenheit and Celsius.

A pot of water is boiling on a stovetop, with bubbles rising to the surface. Another pot with a lid is visible in the background

Fahrenheit supporters think it feels better to start a temperature system at 0 and go to 100.

Fahrenheit is less math-y, and more HUMAN.

Why add minus signs or (on certain thermostats) decimal points, when they’re not necessary?

Animated character wearing a suit, glasses, and a bow tie is holding a notepad and says, "Room temperature is 22 degrees Celsius."

So no, F isnt superior, youre just intuitively more used to it.

)Do average Americans just spend less time outdoors not in a car?

Its such a perfectly American thing to have an entire temperature standard that makes one thing slightly more convenient.

Especially when it’s backed in science.

I will say, though, I think this person summed it up perfectly.

I’d rather be on the logical side, but to each their own.

But now it’s time for you to weigh in.

We can still get along).
