Im just going to cut to the chase, what spawned this idea?

What made you think yes I want to make a film about Sasquatch?

It felt like there were some interesting things to explore as a story.

Movie poster for "Sasquatch Sunset" featuring silhouetted Sasquatch figures at dusk, stars Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg, and includes positive reviews

The quote-unquote footage out there of it (Bigfoot) is all the same.

Do you have an idea of what they are?

For instance, the other most famous one is the yeti, another hairy creature in the woods.

Two men, wearing winter clothes and hats, stand outside on a cloudy day. One man is smiling and the other wears sunglasses

Does that make sense?

And how was this rehearsed between the actors?

The tone was very clear and it even got quite dark.

A human-like creature with long hair, prominent facial features, and a mysterious expression peeks through a gap between tree trunks in a dense forest

You were putting my girl through it!

Did you add these dark tones to create a more human connection with the audience?

So we always knew that would be there.

Three people stand on a rocky hilltop overlooking a vast landscape of forested mountains in the distance

It was GALLONS of sweat!

I knew you were roasting in that suit!

Nathan:Haha yes I was!

A humanoid, ape-like creature with long hair sits on a log in a dense forest. Another similar smaller creature is beside it. No specific individuals are identified

Once you got that costume on it was a fully immersive process.

So when we would eventually pull it off the undersuit was just drenched in sweat.

You finished filming two sizes smaller!

A creature resembling Bigfoot examines a flower outdoors, surrounded by greenery

David:Haha yes it was like a sweat sponge!

Nathan:No no, because it wasn’t as method as that.

So that was the biggest thing to learn from an acting standpoint.
