All I can think about is how shocked I would be witnessing this scene in real life.

“Our party included Hailey, 16, who’s my stepdaughter.

I think he might have lost his grip, I am not sure.

But some of the dish fell onto Hailey’s clothes, ruining them.

He apologized immediately, but she got livid at him.”

You are already paid low, so I’d have thought you’d be more careful.'

Dwight from The Office saying "Oh my god"

She was shouting, and almost everyone was looking at us now.

I was shocked and asked her to apologize."

I asked her to get out of the restaurant.

Cary Grant saying "Get out"

She began screaming and protested.

I did not relent, and the end result is that she had to leave."

Am I the asshole?"

A barista working behind the counter

“If she cant behave well in a nice restaurant, then she shouldnt be there.

Its no different from keeping poorly behaved or loud kids away.

If shes going to act like a child, then shes going to be treated like a child.”

A woman saying "True"

Your wife is enabling your stepdaughter’s horribly rude behavior."

“Your stepdaughter was incredibly rude and disrespectful.

She has no right to speak to someone that way.”

“You’re not the asshole.

The waiter made a mistake and apologized.

She should, however, have calmed down and apologized.

There is no need to make somebody feel small after a mistake.

If you have a grievance, there are ways to deal with it in a constructive way.”

“Thank you for standing up for a server.

You made that waiter’s day.”
